Heaving Bosoms Podcast
I just discovered podcasts. I knew they were a thing and everyone talked about them for years but I never bothered to pay attention. I had audiobooks to listen to- I didn’t want to listen to random people talking about other random things. It just seemed like it would interfere with my reading. And it has…
Jump to my boyfriend and I taking a longish road trip and him showing me how podcasts work and that there are ROMANCE podcasts and BOOK podcasts and podcasts on anything you could think of. This lead to me finding the Heaving Bosoms podcasts and lead to my boyfriend regretting the fact that he showed me how podcasts work. 😇
I’m obsessed. I’ve bugged everyone I’ve talked to (since discovering them) about listening to these laugh out loud funny ladies. No one will listen… I’ve been told there are other romance podcasts as well and I should listen to those too. My response has been a resounding no. I’m playing catch up on this podcast’s backlog of episodes and then once that happens I need to listen to some books because I'm so faaaaar behind on my audiobook TBR it’s not even funny. Maybe in the distant future I will branch out to other ones but right now I'm sooo loving these fantastic ladies!!! And I know that if I start another podcast I will want to start at the beginning as well. I don’t have enough time to do that with another podcasts- at least as of right now.
Heaving Bosoms is hosted by two long distance best friends, Erin and Mel, who share a love for romance. They are hilarious and silly and serious and just nutty. I love it. I have snort laughed sooo much while listening to them. Their dynamic is just fantastic. I love how they love women and have built an awesome community of building up other women and a place to be your wacky, strange self. They’ve made me go on facebook again. I haven’t been on facebook in years but I want to be a part of their geriatric friendship cult so bad. Mel and Erin can have all my possessions!!! These ladies, just by talking to each other and being friends make you, the listener, feel like they are your friends. They are just lovely people. And I don’t care what anyone says- I’m obsessed with their banter. Their banter is probably my favorite part of the podcast.
They brighten up my day to the point that I will avoid books, streaming services, and human contact just to continue listening to them. If you’re looking for some lady love, I highly recommend these dynamic duo of romance loving women!
-Happy Reading (listening)
