Review:

This book completely blew me away! I didn't really know what to expect when I picked this book up and I was a little tentative because of the content. Stories that encompass the Me Too movement are so important but they can be so hard to read. At least for me. But this story was written in the best way possible. It was heartfelt, gut-wrenching, and suspenseful. I so loved this book!!!

The heroine, Alexandra, is so relatable and realistic. Her experience with one man has defined her entire life and it is heartbreaking but she preservers and lives her life. It may not be a full life but she makes herself a life. She is such a powerful character!

The hero, Piers, is a hero in every sense of the word. He blunders up so many times but he is also just as damaged as Alexandra. He has scars in and out that he has to learn to deal with just like Alexandra has to learn to deal with her scars. They even each other out while also making each other better people!

The show of female friendship in this book is everything I did not know I needed. I loved how they were an unshakable force when together and apart. Their friendship makes this book all the more amazing! I need more books with strong female friendships!

I cannot believe I have to wait till NEXT SPRING for the next book in the series!!! 2020, ugh!!! It's too far away!!! I need it now! Like right now! I'm so annoyed with myself for not waiting to read this book and yet I loved this book so much I'm so glad I read it. That makes sense... right? This was a fantastic book, a book that will impact you in a way you won't realize until it's over, a book that is so needed!

-Happy Reading!
