Let’s talk about books🎶

Book Of The Week

Book Of The Week

This book is EVERYTHING! There are few books that have effected me as much as this one has. I was so enthralled by it I literally felt like I was put under a spell. Ugh!!! The EMOTION!!!! I picked The Girl He Used To Know for this week’s Book Of The Week because I’m going to meet the fantabulous Tracey Graves this week. She’s going to be at Anderson’s and all the information about the FREE event can be found here. I expect to see you all there.

I judge how good books are on their ability to make me bawl like a newborn baby. I’m not a crier at all, so if I’m bawling (and I do mean bawling- hardcore snot, tears, and the inability to breath bawling) then I know the writing is on point (did I use that right…?). If you’re going to read this book- and you better!!!- DO NOT read the last few chapters in public. Trust me on this. Do not make my mistakes!!!! But in all seriousness, this was such a phenomenal read and is one of the top 5 books I’ve read this year (or ever). It’s very reminiscent of The Kiss Quotient. And if you haven’t read The Kiss Quotient then pick that one up when you pick up The Girl He Used To Know. Would I steer you wrong? No- the answer is no.

Annika Rose likes being alone.
She feels lost in social situations, saying the wrong thing or acting the wrong way - she just can't read people. She prefers the quiet solitude of books or playing chess to being around others.
Apart from Jonathan. She liked being around him, but she hasn't seen him for ten years. Until now that is. And she's not sure he'll want to see her again after what happened all those years ago.

Annika Rose likes being alone.
Except that, actually, she doesn't like being alone at all.

-Happy Reading!
