The Reluctant Royals series returns with a good girl searching for the life that’s not too big, and not too small, and the bad boy prince who might be just right for her…

Nya Jerami fled Thesolo for the glitz and glamour of NYC but discovered that her Prince Charming only exists in her virtual dating games. When Nya returns home for a royal wedding, she accidentally finds herself up close and personal—in bed—with the real-life celebrity prince who she loves to hate.

For Johan von Braustein, the red-headed step-prince of Liechtienbourg, acting as paparazzi bait is a ruse that protects his brother—the heir to the throne—and his own heart. When a royal referendum threatens his brother’s future, a fake engagement is the perfect way to keep the cameras on him.

Nya and Johan both have good reasons to avoid love, but as desires are laid bare behind palace doors, they must decide if their fake romance will lead to a happily-ever-after.

Ok, it’s no secret that I am a huge fan of this series. Cole’s writing is smart and real. She writes women with brains- which I’m a big supporter of! She tackles the small things women deal with having to unlearn while also taking down those big hurdles women deal with everyday. But she also touches on the aspects of society that affect men, which is something we don’t really see in romance all that often.

We’ve seen Nya and Johan in and out of the previous books and I was just itching to read their story. I just knew it would be amazing and guess what, it was!!! Actually, it was better than I could have even imagined! Johan telling Nya she does not need to apologize for everything made me whoop out loud! I say ‘sorry’ constantly in my every day life and I bite my tongue every time it slips out of my mouth. It’s still something I’m working on and I loved that Cole had Nya and Johan touch on that. Cole also brought up how men are not taught to deal with their emotions and strong feelings. This also made me whoop out loud!

I could literally just talk continuously about how much I love both Nya and Johan and Johan’s little brother! It was really interesting reading about Lukas because I’ve never encountered a character like him before and it made me want to learn more and educate myself. Really, Cole just knows how to bring up every fault in society, show you why it’s wrong, and then make you wish you lived in one of her stories instead of real life!

Nya learning to find her voice and her strength was overwhelming. I wanted to clap and cheer for her and then hug her. And Johan learning to drop his image and be himself- swoon! These two together are everything- I highlighted so many passages, I don’t think I’d be able to break it down enough to make this review readable, and not look like a term paper…

I don’t want this series to end. Ever! This was by far my favorite of the series and I just did not want to come out of it. The world Cole has created makes you wish the real world was better. I’m really hoping that the series will continue with Sanyu and Shanti’s story. You just get a glimpse of them in this book and I need to know more about them!

I cannot wait to meet Alyssa Cole at KissCon! She is just amazing! If you’re new to this series or are just discovering it- don’t hesitate- read it! You don’t know what you’re missing! This book is marked as favorite! It is going on my favorites bookshelf! LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!! Read it!!!!

-Happy Reading!

P.S. Cole has some of the best covers in this genre! They are just GORGEOUS!!!!
