ARCs VS TBRs
This is every bookworms problem. Especially for a bookworm who works in a bookstore or in the publishing world. I have to keep myself on track by setting limits. Sometimes I alternate between ARCs and my TBRs. It’s really the only way to keep both piles from overflowing.
Currently, I have been stuck in a backlist series that has been on my TBR pile for a while. I’m loving it so much that I’m finding it hard to pull myself out of it. However, I have two books left in the series and then I will read some of the ARCs that have piled up since I started reading the series.
I’m one of those people that has to be supper organized and overthink everything. And that includes my reading list. I’m an extreme mood reader- so, I have to give myself guidelines each month. This allows me to have a semi-order to the books I will read that coming month, while also giving myself room to mood read. My system has been a slow process and has been refined over time, until I found what works for me. Because that is key. Reading is a personal thing. No two people read the same book the same way and you need to take that into account.
Having too many books to read is not a problem at all. I love the fact that I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by books and have easy access to them. I know that is not the reality for many people in the world so I’m immensely grateful for the overwhelming amount of books I am able to organize and read. It’s probably the best “problem” to have in the world.
