Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club—and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.

As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers he lived through hell with. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy, or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.

Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again—especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help, and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagi

***The Torpedo Ink series is a spin off of the Sea Haven series, which is a spin off of the Drake Sisters series. All three series are amazing. You don’t necessarily have to read the three series in order but if you’re like me and have OCD while reading, you’ll want to.***

I’m not sure how Feehan is able to do it! It truly amazes me every time I read one of her books.  You know when you read her books you will be gutted, have your heart broken, and laugh- multiple times. She is just such a talented writer!

Ok, let’s start out with Steele! He is amazing! Like rock your socks off amazing. He is just this alpha male that has such a soft side. He, like the others, still suffer- they still have issues and will always have issues but what is so amazing about him and the rest is that they persevere. They live in spite of their pasts. Steele deals with guilt and trauma and PTSD. Feehan shows him walking that fine line of trying to stay in control while also spinning out- He knows he is losing control but he can’t stop himself. I couldn’t help but break for Steele! I really just wanted to hug him and give him a cookie (and like a good kind of cookie- like double chocolate-chip or snickerdoodle).

And Breezy!!!! She is the kind of woman you want to be friends with. She is strong, courageous, funny, sweet, and doesn’t take Steele’s shit. I loved her! Just like Feehan can write these damaged men she can also write these compelling women. Breezy was everything that a powerful woman could aspire to be.

Steele and Breezy didn’t so much as complete each other or bring out the best in each other but were able to understand one another. They were both victims of abuse. They both knew that Steele would always need Torpedo Ink and Breezy would always have issues with clubs. But they came together to overcome each other’s fears. They are the couple that when together form an impassible mountain.

The one thing I really admire about Feehan’s writing is she doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff. She is blunt in her details of abuse and anguish. I find it admirable of her to do this, especially with her characters being mostly men. When men or boys are abused it is not talked about. It is kinda swept under the rug and they are basically told to get over it. I find that deplorable. Trauma is trauma no matter your gender and Feehan makes that clear.

The family Feehan has created in Torpedo Ink is so damaged and yet they flourish. They thrive when they are together. They are crazy and solid and funny and what a true family should be like. I love watching them interact with one another and try to figure out social norms. The camaraderie and bond is endearing and they are just so hilarious. The entire time I was reading this I was wondering who would be next (because I can never just focus on the book I’m reading and be happy with that…) I really hope it’s Savage. Watching him fall in love will be hysterical. He has no idea what being in love is like- his wakeup call will probably be the funniest thing to ever happen.

I highly recommend this book and this series (all three corresponding series). They are a work of art!!!!

-Happy Reading!

Oh, and did you see that cover?!?!?! AMAZING!!!
