A broken woman.
A damaged man.
A free spirit intent on saving them both.

Elysia ‘Sia’ Willis lives a solitary life. The only person in it is her big brother, Ky, vice-president of the infamous Hades Hangmen. She loves him, but she has absolutely no love for the outlaw MC he belongs to.
Raised in secret by her mother, Sia grew up separated from her brother and distant father. No one knew she even existed.

After the tragic murder of her mother, Sia spiraled into a rebellion against the rules of the Hangmen. A rebellion with dire consequences that now, years later, she still can’t escape.

As she lives once again in secret, happy on her own at her secluded ranch, a devil from her past comes calling. A devil who wants to possess her once again and take her from the simple life she never wants to lose.
And he will stop at nothing to collect what he believes is his: her.

Valan ‘Hush’ Durand and Aubin ‘Cowboy’ Breaux have finally found a home in the mother chapter of the Hangmen. The notoriously private Cajun twosome have, for now, put aside what chased them from their beloved Louisiana. But as threats toward the club build, Hush and Cowboy are given a task—protect Elysia Willis at all costs. Cowboy welcomes the job of watching over the blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty.
Hush fights against it.
Scarred by events from his past and a secret that plagues his everyday life, Hush refuses to let anyone else get close. Only Cowboy knows the real him. Until a certain sister of the club’s VP begins to slowly knock down his defenses, shattering the heavily built walls that guard his damaged soul … with his best friend leading the charge.

As lost and open hearts begin to meld, taking each other from indescribable pain to the never-before felt relief of peace, the newly-mended threesome must first endure one more rocky path.
Only then will they finally shake free of the shackles of their pasts.
Only then will they shed the bonds that have for too long held their happiness captive.
And there is only one way to survive that path … together.

***Warning- This is the 6th book in Tillie Cole’s dark romance series, Hades Hangmen. This series HAS to be read in order. You cannot just pick this book up and understand what’s going on. Also, this is a MFM (male/female/male) story. Meaning it is a male female male triangle. MFM means the males share the female but do not interact sexually with each other like in MMF (male/male/female). In MMF the males are bi-sexual and interact sexually with each other along with the female. This story deals with dark subject matter, hence ‘dark romance’- if you are easily triggered than this book and series are not for you. However, if you love dark romances this is the best series for you.****

With every book Tillie Cole writes I believe it to be my favorite. When I read Styx’s story I said. “This is my favorite book!”. When I read Ky’s story I said, “This is now my favorite”. When I read Flame’s story I said, “Now this one is my favorite”. And so on and so on. And now we have Hush’s and Cowboy’s story- and it's now my favorite!

This story had everything you could ever want. It had all the feels as they say. I usually hate using the word ‘epic’. To me, ‘epic’ got overused and lost it’s true meaning to people. However, I have to say, this story was epic! It was heartbreaking, it was soul crushing, it was gut-wrenching, it was truly amazing!

Hush stole the show in this book. He was just so broken and lost. Cowboy and Sia did everything they could to make Hush realize that he was loved and wanted but Hush had to figure it out on his own. He had to heal himself and confront his past. I loved that aspect. I loved that he had to learn to love himself and accept himself for who he was. Watching him grow and learn to open up was so tear-jerking. Through most of this book all I felt like doing was hugging Hush. And maybe giving him a cookie to make him happy.

Hush’s past will make you hate the world. It is hard to imagine that people can be so hateful towards other’s for something as inconsequential as the color of one’s skin. I’m in a mixed race relationship and we have experienced glares and hateful comments from strangers and even from family members. This plot really hit home for me. Luckily neither me nor my boyfriend have ever experienced the abuse that Hush and his parents did; I can only imagine how damaging that can be to someone. It makes me sick to even think about it. Or even to think that things like that were/are a common occurrence.

Cowboy’s past makes your heart hurt as well. Growing up in a small and rural town, he grew up not knowing that hating someone for the color of their skin was wrong. He grew up in that hate and knew no better. It was amazing to see how Hush and Cowboy became friends. Their pasts, like Sia’s, are so sad and heartbreaking. Their pasts are extreme but have roots in the truth- making that much more horrendous to read.

The way Sia, Cowboy, and Hush come together is truly amazing. The passion and devotion the three of them have for each other is so sweet- it makes your heart ache. I loved reading their story. I loved everything about this book.

It’s hard to write a review for this book without giving away spoilers. So many things are built on so many other things (does that make sense?). I can’t say much… so you’ll just have to trust me and read this story. It will break you and then put you back together again.

Crux Untamed makes a mark on your heart and soul. It will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. Tillie Cole truly is a master of emotion, passion, and dark, unforgiving romances. This book is exceptional. You must make sure you don’t miss it. I probably should have waited a couple of days to write this review because I’m still in a Crux Untamed hangover. I’m not even sure this post is coherent…

-Happy Reading!!!
