Once upon a time, you fell in love with a caveman.
His needs were basic, his ambitions primal, his love fierce.
Now, fall in love with Ehd all over again…through Beh’s eyes.
Luffs—Shay Savage’s holiday gift to Transcendence fans everywhere!
All this book did was reinforce how much I adored Beth and Ehd and how I just want to go re-read Transcendence and feel all the feels.
Luffs wasn’t so much a retelling in Beth’s POV as it was small snippets from Transcendence from Beth’s POV. Which is fine. But I was a little disappointed there wasn’t more. And what I mean by “more” is maybe a few stories that weren’t in the original book but were new and told by Beth. The ending was very abrupt and just… there. I know this was supposed to be just a novella from Beth’s POV but I was somehow expecting more, which I know makes me spoiled because there was never supposed to be any more to the story.
I gave this story a 5 because of nostalgia and it reminded me of how much I love these characters and their story. However, if you haven’t read Transcendence, this story won’t really make sense to you. This 5 rating is for fans of the first book and because even though I wasn’t all that thrilled with how short and how abrupt the story was I loved reading every second of it- does that makes sense?
I truly enjoyed reading this book and have a lot of love for Beth and Ehd. But I guess what I’m trying to say is- before you read Luffs read Transcendence. Trust me.
